PURPOSE:To maintain the sealability of a door when its is closed preventing water from dropping when it is opened by forming a special section which is elastically deformed into a sharply buckled form at the periphery of a hollow seal lip when the door is closed so as to form a square corner at a place where the periphery of the hollow seal lip is articulated with a contacting surface. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip 3A consists of a base section 6 which is fixed on to the periphery of a door 2, e.i. a retainer section 5 at the upper portion of a door sash 4, and a hollow seal lip 10 which is formed in an integral part with the base 6 and firmly comes in contact with a seal panel 7a of the periphery of car door opening, that is, with a roof side panel 7 whe the door 2 is closed. And the outer periphery 14 of the hollow seal lip 10 is elastically deformed into a sharply buckled form outward to the lateral direction when the door 2 is closed. A square corner 17 is formed with a small curvature at a place where a contacting surface 11 of the seal panel surface 7a is articulated with the outer periphery of the hollow seal lip 10. |
