The device has shelf units (3a,3b) which are arranged one above the other to form between them a compartment for the plate-shaped objects. A lock component (11) can be pushed into engagement with an appropriate shelf unit (3a,3b) to lock it and all such units above it in relation to the frame (1). Thus, when the support, component is lowered, the height of the compartment between the secured shelf unit and that immediately beneath it is increased. |
