PURPOSE:To analyze an org. acid ion and an inorg. anion without allowing both ions to interfere with each other, by separating the org. acid ion and the inorg. anion using 9-anthryldiazomethane and respectively analyzing both ions by independent columns. CONSTITUTION:A flow passage 10 for analyzing an org. acid ion and a flow passage 12 for analyzing an inorg. anion are provided in an ion chromatograph. A reversed-phase column 14 is provided to the passage 10 as a column and a fluorescence detector 16 is provided as a detector while an ion chromatograph column 22 is provided to the flow passage 12 and an electric conductivity meter 12 is provided as a detector. Then, a beverage aqueous solution containing the inorg. anion and the org. acid ion is treated with 9-anthryldiazomethane to separate the org. acid ion and the inorg. anion. Next, the org. acid ion is allowed to flow through the flow passage 10 to be analyzed by the column 14. Subsequently, the inorg. anion is allowed to flow through the flow passage 12 to be analyzed by the column 22. By this method, both ions can be analyzed without allowing both of them to interfere with each other.
