PURPOSE:To measure a tension correctly and simply by travelling the continuous line material of a strip, etc. on a process line and by finding the number of proper vibrations by measuring the minute vibration of a strip between rolls. CONSTITUTION:A continuous line material 1 of strip, etc. is travelled between two sets of plied rolls 4a, 4b and 4c, 4d. In this case the line material 1 receives a tension at the part of a span L. A vibration detector 5 is then arranged around the center of the span L and the number of proper vibrations is detected. The main components of the frequency is then discriminated by inputting the data of the number of the proper vibrations into a frequency analyzer 6, and then inputted into a spectrum discriminator 7. The voltage equivalent to the tension is then calculated from the vibrations by a calculator 8 and the tension of the line material 1 is found with comparing the voltage equivalent to the set tension by a comparator 9. Since the tension is found from a vibration detector, therefore, no damages are given to the line material and the measurement can be performed with good accuracy. |
