PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of a substrate and to enable the constitution of three or more of head patterns from one substrate, by forming a common electrode lead in an extended state and forming an abrasion resistant protective film so as to cover a heat generator region. CONSTITUTION:The patterns of heat generator, a common electrode and an image signal electrode are formed from a glass glaze layer 70, an alumina substrate 71, a resistor film 72 and an electrode film 73 and take the electrical connection with the common electrode and chemical plating is applied from the terminal surface parts to the back surface part. Next, electroplating 76 is performed so as to make the resistance of the common electrode sufficiently small. By the above mentioned process, the formation of the necessary patterns and electrodes is finished and, at the last step, an abrasion resistant protective film 72 is formed to the terminal surface parts and the heat generator region. |
