PURPOSE:To utilize sheets of paper effectively by logically operating output pulses from a pulse generator and reference clock pulses and generating gate pulses extracting the pulses of a register mark in a rotary press. CONSTITUTION:Detecting signals from scanning heads 10-12, at least one kind of pulses to one period of register mark pulses generated in a pulse generator 17 and reference clock pulses from a control section 31 are inputted to a controllers 13-15 having gate pulse setting means while the controllers mutually transmit and receive control informations through the control section 31. The controllers 13-15 count the period of output pulses from the pulse generator 17 with high accuracy while using the reference clock pulses as a reference measure. Accordingly, precise gate pulses having high accuracy can be acquired, and blank section for printing register marks among patterns and patterns on a print can be narrowed, thus improving the effective utilization of printing paper. |
