PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp electrophotographic image good in fixability by coating an image formed by the electrophotographic process with an acrylic- modified alkyd resin soln. and drying it to form a protective film. CONSTITUTION:The image formed by the electrophotographic process is coated with the acrylic-modified alkyd resin soln. and dried. The surface of a multicolor toner image formed, e.g., on an org. or inorg. photoconductor, or an image transferred to another transfer material, such as paper or film, is coated with said resin soln. to fix the image, thus permitting a protective film superior in flexibility, mechanical strength, adhesion, and surface gloss to be formed, further, said film to be prevented from cracking and peeling, and to be hardly damaged on the surface, and a sharp image superior in fixability to be obtained. Even when an image is formed on an org. photoconductor, such as polyvinyl carbazole, can be fixed without damaging the surface of the image. |
