Building component for the formation of walls, ceilings etc. in a house, essentially consisting of a longitudinal homogeneous section (1) of a plastic foam material with a closed cellular structure, e.g. polyurethane foam. The building component is fitted at its ends with connectors (2) of wood, plastic etc., cast onto the plastic foam material, which project out from the component's end surfaces to enable their connection to corresponding connectors (2) in adjoining building components. When the building component is installed, the side of the building component which is intended to be on the inside of the house, is fitted with a covering layer (3) of material resistant to fire and pressure, e.g. fibre glass, integrated with the plastic foam.These building components, with their projecting connectors (2), make it a lot easier to build a house by connecting together building components, and on account of their shape, are well suited to be joined together by the injection of plastic foam in the seams between the building components.<IMAGE> |
