PURPOSE:To prevent a seizure phenomenon during seal-caulking by forming the cell guiding section of a seal-caulking mold in a taper spread out toward the opening section and making the angle between it and the opening end section of a cell case 13 deg. or less. CONSTITUTION:An outer hull is formed with a case 5, a sealing plate 6, and an insulating packing 7; a power generating element is put in it; and an unsealed cell 8 is pinched with an upper spindle 9 and a lower spindle 10 and is guided into a mold 1 formed with a recess 2 for caulking at the innermost section, a vertical wall section 3 next to it, and a guide section 4' made of a taper spread out toward opening section of the mold at an angle of 13 deg. or less. The case 5 is bent and sealed by pushing up the spindle 10 to guide the cell 8 into the recess 2. Accordingly, a seizure phenomenon between the mold 1 and the case 5 is prevented and burrs can be prevented from occurring on the outer periphery of the case 5. |
