PURPOSE:To sufficiently ensure the width of a group of anode electrodes and to widen the aperture to obtain a light indication screen by constituting the group of anode electrodes to be arranged on the sides of a group of insulating barriers. CONSTITUTION:A group G os insulating barrier ribs consisting of a plurality of barrier ribs g1, g2... arranged in given, constant distances in a direction intesecting perpendicularly to a group y of cathode electrodes are mounted and formed on the inner face of the other substrate 2 in given height. A group x of anode electrodes consisting of electrodes x1, x2... having given, constant width are mounted and formed on respective side faces 8 of the barrier ribes g1, g2.... And discharge is carried out in the intersecting portion of the group x of anode electrodes and the group y of cathode electrodes to make the luminous indication. Whereby, it is possible to obtain the light luminous indication with high aperture rate, without covering the luminous indication screen with a group of anode electrodes. |
