PURPOSE:To listen to a desired program and to save power consumption by providing the 1st and 2nd coincidence detection means detecting the coincidence between a program start code and a program start identification code, and between a program end code and a program end code identification code and an electronic switch and supplying power to an amplifier and/or a display device for a receiver via the electronic switch. CONSTITUTION:When the desired program selected by a program selection switch 6 is started, the 1st output from a coincidence detecting circuit 4 is given to a set input terminal S of a flip-flop circuit 7 and the electronic switch 8 is closed by an H output from a terminal D. Then the operating power supply is fed to an amplifier AMP and a display device 8, a demodulation output by a tuner section 2 is reproduced from a speaker SP and a reception frequency is displayed by a display device 10. When the present desired program is finished for reception, the 2nd output is given to a reset input terminal R of the flip- flop circuit by the incoming of the end code pattern to reset the flip-flop circuit 7, the level of the output of the terminal D goes to L to open the electronic switch 8. |
