The device monitors the pressure of the tyres by means of the angular movement. An up/down counter 52 receives as positive input a signal proportional to the sum of the revolutions of the wheels of one diagonal, and as negative input a signal made up in the same fashion for the other diagonal. As output, the up/down counter 52 supplies the difference signal of the diagonals. The counter 54 makes it possible to take account of the displacement distance of the vehicle so as to manage analysis means 53 of the said difference signal of the diagonals. An alarm 55 is actuated to signal underinflation when the signal for the difference of diagonals attains a critical value inside a predetermined analysis window. <IMAGE>
