The device is articulated in three parts, namely a scoop 1 integrally attached to the vessel employed in the depollution operations, a shovel 2 articulated on this scoop and a screen sheet 3 maintained, in operation, at a small depth below the polluting sheet. The screen sheet collects the hydrocarbons at the same time as a certain proportion of the underlying liquid in order to direct them towards the shovel and the scoop.
