Shelves 41, 42, 43 are fixed at different levels on an underframe 2, 3a so as to receive the pot plants. A pump supplied by a reservoir 14 sends water via a duct 31 into the upper shelf 43 which, by means of an overflow 11 and a duct 19, is discharged into the shelf 42 situated immediately below, and so on until the bottom shelf 41 has been filled which discharges its excess water into the reservoir 14. The pump automatically refills the shelves at adjustable time intervals. The invention can be used in florists' shops or nurseries. <IMAGE>
