PURPOSE:To obtain sheath-core structure roving, by setting an assistant roller at the downstream of a drafting device, treating overfed roving fleece for sheath by the assistant roller, combining various kinds of yarn having different fiber characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The fleece 6a for sheath is nipped by the assistant top roller 1a, further drafted, and the fleece 6b for core is made into the core roving 7b by transmission of twist. The fleece 7a for sheath is wound round the core roving 7b, to give the sheath-core structure roving 9 having a double-layer structure. Overfeeding ratio of the fleece 7a for sheath is controlled by raw stock and spinning conditions, and sheath-core structure yarn can be produced from any combinations of fibers. |
