PURPOSE:To feed a belt-like member with high accuracy in short time and position same even if the feed pitch is comparatively long by holding the side end edge of the belt-like member by holding means, and longitudinally moving the belt-like member thus situated by a desired distance by moving means. CONSTITUTION:After a film 2 is held by moving chucks 9, 23, an air cylinder 7 is driven to move the moving chucks 9, 23 to film discharge side, so that the film is conveyed. With this movement, a pin 15 fixed to a moving block 10 is brought into contact with a feed screw 32 of a feed mechanism 31 on film supply side. Simultaneously with such contact, a motor of the feed mechanism 31 is rotated to advance the feed screw 32 to the film discharge side at a very small speed. When the film 2 is conveyed to a designated position, the drive of the motor 34 is stopped to position the film 2. Subsequently, fixed chucks 41, 42 are operated to press the film 2 onto a base plate 6 and fix same, so that the film 2 is stretched to accomplish cutting with good accuracy. |
