PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply replace the tread section alone of a tire with a new one without the necessity of removal of the tire itself, by planting a plurality of tough metal bands in a strip perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the latter. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of tough metal bands 3 are planted in a strip 1 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the latter, with the free ends of the metal bands being formed in a U-like shape in order to facilitate the fixing of the strip to a tire 5. The thus formed strip 1 is wound around the tire 5, and is fastened both ends thereof together by use of fixtures 2. Then, the strip 1 is secured to the tire with the use of a rubber band 4 which is engaged with the U-like sections of the metal band 3. This strip 1 has a length which allows the strip 1 to surround around the entire periphery of the tire, and is made of synthetic rubber having a cold-resistance and a wear-resistance. |
