PURPOSE:To eliminate troublesome work when manual paper feed fails by providing a control means which is reset to wait condition when a manual paper feed, detecting means does not detect a recording member for longer than a first time. CONSTITUTION:A manual paper feed section 5 is extended near to aligning rollers 59, 60 where a manual paper feed detection switch 74 for detecting a paper to be inserted is arranged. When a paper is inserted through a manual guide 6 to the manual paper feed section 5 under wait condition, the switch 74 is turned ON by the inserted paper. Upon depression of a print area 82 of an operating section 4 under this condition, a print key is turned ON to start copy operation. If the manual paper feed detection switch 74 is turned OFF for longer than a predetermined time between an interval from start of copy operation to start of rotation of the aligning rollers 59, 60 in manual paper feed copy operation, it is judged that erroneous paper feed is made then copy, operation is interrupted and the machine is reset to a capable waiting condition. |
