Continuous process for making helical cross-wound packages, made from a ribbon-like sheet, in order to produce thin-walled sections made from composite materials |
摘要 |
Continuous process for making helical wound packages having contiguous turns, from a ribbon-like sheet with symmetrical crossings of the fibres in order to obtain bodies of revolution. The bundle of filaments (yarns) which form the ribbon-like sheet 5 is divergent or convergent. The rovings are worked until they become flattened and are formed into a sheet between a device 6 suitable for adjusting the spacing of the rovings and an impregnation box 4 from which a width-calibrated sheet emerges. The spacing device and the impregnation box follow linked paths. The impregnation box pivots angularly during the winding produced on a rotatably driven mandrel and as a function of the advance of the wound package. Forward-and-back winding enables symmetrical crossings of the rising and falling fibres to be obtained. The process according to the invention is particularly intended for the manufacture of thin-walled body-of-revolution components which are particularly strong in bending and in shear. <IMAGE>
