Method and device for assembling, by riveting and without additional material, various elements made from sheets of any metals or alloys involved in the partial or total production of elements contributing to the production of an apparatus, a piece of equipment or a machine. This method also permits sandwich-type assembly with, as insert, any materials which are compatible for heat or sound insulation or the like. The invention may be used in all branches of any industries which have to assemble sheet-metal components together mechanically. <IMAGE>
