PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for synthesizing drugs, agricultural chemicals, etc. in high purity in high yield, by isomerizing an allylamine derivative in the presence of a specific rhodium-phosphine complex as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:An allylamine derivative shown by the formula I (R1 is H, or methyl; R2 is 4-methylpenyl, etc.; R3 is H, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; R4 is 1-4C alkyl, cycloalkyl, etc.) is isomerized in the presence of a rhodium-phosphine complex shown by the formula II [Y is ethylene, 1,3-butadiene, formula III (R is H, methyl, or t-butyl), etc.; X is ClO4, BF4, or PF6; L is group shown by the formula III], to give an enamine shown by the formula IV or an imine shown by the formula V. The reaction is preferably carried out by adding 1/2,000-1/20,000mol catalyst to 1mol allylamine derivative in a solvent at 80-120 deg.C for 1-15hr. |
