PURPOSE:To reduce storage time by winding an auxiliary winding with different polarity with that of a drive winding to a pulse transformer and impressing a reverse bias voltage to a switch transistor (TR) at the drive of an auxiliary TR driven by the auxiliary winding. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generated to a drive winding NB is fed to a base of a switching TRQ1 through a resistor R1 and the switching TRQ1 is driven. When the pulse is turned off, a voltage is induced in the auxiliary winding NR1 in a direction to drive the auxiliary TRQ2 as shown in figure (c). The auxiliary TRQ2 is turned off (see figure d), and when the collector and emitter are short- circuited, the base of the switching TRQ1 is brought down to a negative potential (-EV) of a reverse bias power supply E1 at once, a minority carrier to be excessive being a case to storage time is discharged and the switching TRQ1 is turned off rapidly (see figure e). |
