PURPOSE:To obtain a sealed battery having low cost and good leakage resistance by using a resin molding having an L-shaped cross section, a concavity in the outer circumference of the upper surface of vertical part, and a mold gating nozzle in the concavity as a sealing ring. CONSTITUTION:A sealing ring 1 has an L-shaped cross section and a concavity 3 in the outer circumference of the upper surface of vertical part 2. A runner 4 is arranged so that its gate locates in the concavity 3. A gate burr is preferably adjusted so that it is within the circumference and the upper surface of the sealing ring. The bottom of the concavity 3 is preferable to form aslant. If the bottom of the concavity is formed horizontally, flow of resin is uneven. |
