发明名称 THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a thermal recording material with excellent heat response characteristics and high sensitivity, by incorporating a specified sulfide compound as a sensitizer for a color developer for developing the color of a dye precursor. CONSTITUTION:The thermal recording material comprising a colorless or light- colored dye precursor and a color developer for developing the color of the dye precursor by reacting therewith when being heated comprises a compound of formula I, wherein R is subst. or unsubst. aralkyl, as a sensitizer. For example, aqueous solutions of polyvinyl alcohol are added respectively to 3-diethylamino-6- methyl-7-anilinofluoran used as the color former, 2,2-bis(4'-hydroxyphenyl)propane used as the color developer and beta-benzylthionaphthalene used as the sensitizer, and the resultant three mixtures are individually dispersed for 24hr by ball mills. Three dispersed liquids thus obtained are mixed with each other, then a dispersed liquid of calcium carbonate, a dispersed liquid of zinc stearate, an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol and water are added to the mixture, followed by sufficient agitation to produce a coating liquid. The coating liquid is applied to a raw paper, and is dried, followed by a supercalendering treatment to obtain the desired thermal recording material.
