The invention relates to an arrangement for tightly connecting the end of a roller to a housing, in particular the end of a bath roller for transferring a layer of a medium, which is capable of flowing, from a bath to a carrier layer on the trough containing the bath. A simple and effective seal is obtained in that a blade which is connected to the housing rests tightly against the end face of the roller. The contact-pressure of the flexible blade is exerted expediently by means of a bag filled with pressure medium.
