PURPOSE:To decrease the number of expensive optical fibers by combining an optical multiplexer and demultiplexer and optical filters with each other and multiplexing and demultiplexing plural light signals with different wavelengths. CONSTITUTION:Light sent from a signal converter 3 through a single optical fiber 4 is demultiplexed by the optical multiplexer and demultiplexer 18a and sent to light projecting elements 8a and 8b for wind direction and speed detection through optical filters 17a-17e; and light beams from photodetectors 10a and 10b are coupled with the same single optical fiber 4 with light transmission by the optical multiplexer and demultiplexer 18a. Further, an optical multiplexer and demultiplexer 18b is provided in the signal converter 3 and coupled with a photodetecting element 6b through the single optical fiber 4 and a light emitting element 5, and optical filters 17a-17e. This constitution decreases the number of expensive optical fibers. |
