Process for generating an adhesion-promoting metal film

In the process for generating an adhesion-promoting metal film on an electroplating core coated with a chemically inert plastic and provided with a copper film, the electroplating core is first activated by immersion in an electrolyte and is then given an intermediate rinse in deionised water. The adhesion-promoting metal film is then deposited on the copper film by electroplating by means of an electrolyte and a pulsating direct current at a current density of approximately 10 A/dm<2> and a frequency up to approximately 100 Hz, and branched, tree-like structural elements are generated in doing so. The surface provided with the structural elements is then stabilised by immersion in an electrolyte, and is then rinsed and dried in air.
