The present invention relates to a process for removing CO2 and/or H2S from CO2- and/or H2S-containing gases by scrubbing the gases with an aqueous absorption liquid containing an alkanolamine and with subsequent regeneration of the absorption liquid, in which an aqueous absorption liquid is used which contains 3 to 60% by weight of a tertiary alkanolamine and 1 to 50% by weight of a primary alkanolamine.
