PURPOSE:To form an inexpensive simultaneous driving type thermal printing head having good characteristics, by connecting a common electrode and a current supply conductor by a connection conductor and providing the current supply conductor in almost parallel to the longitudinal direction of the common electrode. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of heat generating resistors 2 based on a tantalum compound arranged in one line, the common electrode 4 connected to one terminals of said heat generating resistors 2 in common through first individual leads 31 and the drive circuit 11 connected to the other terminals of said heat generating resistors 2 through second individual leads 32 are provided on an insulating substrate 1. A current supply conductor 7 comprising an Au-plated copper clad laminate board adhered by an adhesive 8 is provided at a position extending along the longitudinal direction of the common electrode 4 on a heat dissipation plate 6, and this current supply conductor 7 and the common electrode 4 are connected by a connection conductor. By this method, a small simultaneous driving type thermal printing head, wherein the current capacity of the common electrode was enhanced and manufacturing cost was reduced, can be formed. |
