PURPOSE:To always bring stably a magnetic head into contact with a rotary type magnetic recording medium by moving a head carriage capable of rotary motion, consisting of two members and a spring, on the specified surface of a cam along a main guide bar by a feed screw. CONSTITUTION:The first member A is inserted in a main guide bar 5, and the second member B is set so that they may be separated each other through spring members 12, 13. The contact part 18 of member A contacts a guide member 6 having the surface of cam, and the engaging part 23 of member B engages with a transport screw 7. Under such constitution, the screw 7 is turned by a motor 11, and the carriage moves in a stabilized condition. Thus, as the members A, B are in the engaged condition possible to turn, by spring members 12, 13, effect of the deflection of screw 7, if any, is absorbed between the members A, B. The magnetic head 17 can always move stably in contact with the rotary type magnetic recording medium D. |
