3-Azabicyclo [3.1.0]hexane derivatives of the formula <IMAGE> in which R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are identical or different alkyl groups and R<4> is hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl radicals or aryl radicals, are prepared from suitable substituted pyridones by reacting them with alcohols R<3>-OH, bromine or chlorine and with an alkali metal alcoholate M-OR<3>.
