Open-end friction-spinning device

In an open-end friction-spinning device, two rollers arranged next to one another and driven in the same direction form a V-shaped nip serving for the yarn formation. The fibre material to be spun is fed to the V-shaped nip by a feeding and opening device which contains an opening roller and a fibre-feed channel leading from the opening roller to the V-shaped nip and extending with its mouth in the direction of the V-shaped nip. The yarn obtained is drawn off in the direction of the V-shaped nip. To cause the yarn end to stop at a specific point of the V-shaped nip, there are means which control the distribution of the fibres conveyed in the fibre-feed channel, in such a way that the fibres issue in a continuous sequence and quantity at the end region of the mouth facing away from the drawing off device.
