摘要 PURPOSE:To retard the crossleak of gas passing through an electrolyte by setting the control pressure of reaction gas to the sum of inlet pressure P and the pressure obtained by multiplying the pressure difference P between the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure by a specified factor of 1 or less. CONSTITUTION:The pressure difference P between the inlet pressure of reaction gas and its outlet pressure depends on the kind of electrolyte and the load of a fuel cell. If the difference between fuel gas pressure and oxidizing gas pressure is increased, gas crossleaks through an electrolyte and cell performance is decreased. The pressure of reaction gas is controlled to retard crossleak. The control pressure is set to the sum of inlet pressure P and the pressure obtained by multiplying the pressure difference P between the inlet pressure and the outlet pressure by factor K to retard crossleak. The factor K varies with the flow rate of each gas and is a positive number of 1 or less, and in this case, 0.5 is regularly used. By conducting this pressure control, the pressure difference between both reaction gases is eliminated in the midway between the inlet and the outlet.
