<p>PURPOSE: To improve compression efficiency, without degrading quality by supplying three signals provided with similar statistical characteristics to an output part as component signals suitable for receiving a compound signal and further processing it through a conversion. CONSTITUTION: An analog input signal is inputted to a variable clock generator and analog/digital(A/D) converter 1, and A/D conversion is performed by matching a critically variable sampling frequency. This output is applied to a digital processor PRO and converted to three signals, provided with similar statistical characteristics as component signals suitable for further processing the sampling processed input signal through the conversion.
