A brush is fitted with a connecting part (1), in particular made of plastic, arranged between the brush head (2) and the wooden shaft (3). The connecting part is constructed as a projection (6) on the brush-head side and has a recess (7) on the shaft side for receiving the insertion end (9) of the wooden shaft (3).
