PURPOSE:To eliminate watt consumption for only temperature detection of a glow plug, by cutting off a switching element at the upper limit value of temperature in the glow plug, while contributing the glow plug so as to be energized with power at the elapse of time corresponding to a detection value of engine temperature. CONSTITUTION:When a transistor Tr7 is turned to ON by operation of a processing circuit 11 at a certain time, a plug G (consisting of G1-Gn) is heated. And, temperature in the glow plug G reaches an upper limit value theta13 beyond fuel ignitable temperature theta11 and an lower limit value theta12 in a control temperature range, the transistor Tr7 is turned to OFF from the output of a temperature detecting circuit 12 receiving voltage at both ends of a temperature detecting resistor 4. And, simultaneously a timer 15 is set in motion via a trigger circuit 14, and the timer 15 starts its clocking operation of time W corresponding to the output of a cooling water temperature detecting element 8. And, after the elapse of the time W, the transistor Tr7 is turned to ON again via the driving circuit 17 whereby the glow plug G is kept within temperature ranges theta12- theta13. |
