PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of percolation by substantially increasing the capacity of the upper part over the oil level in a constant oil-level chamber and suppressing the pressure increase of the gasoline vapor in the constant oil-level chamber by installing a subchamber connected to the upper part over the oil level in the constant oil-level chamber in an air cleaner. CONSTITUTION:A subchamber 9 is formed inside an air cleaner element 8 in the upper part of a constant oil-level chamber 2 in a carburetor body 1. The part contiguous to the suction passage on the wall 7a of an air cleaner 7 as the bottom wall of the subchamber 9 is opened and the part contiguous to the suction passage on the wall 2a of the constant oil-level chamber 2 is opened, and the upper parts over the oil levels in the subchamber 9 and the constant oil-level chamber 2 are connected. A dynamic-pressure type air vent 11 is formed onto the upper wall of the subchamber 9. Therefore, the capacity of the upper part on the oil level in the constant oil-level chamber 2 increases in substance, and the pressure increase of the gasoline vapor formed in the constant oil-level chamber 2 due to the engine heat, etc. is suppressed, and the generation of percolation can be suppressed. |
