PURPOSE:To obtain composite yarns of sheath-core structure having improved covering property under stable conditions, by supplying plural yarns at different speeds by stepped rolls having steps in the same number as that of the yarns, and doubling and twisting the yarns. CONSTITUTION:A yarn 1 is delivered from a guide 2 and a large-diameter part of a stepped top roll 5 and the nipping point of a roll shaft 7, and a yarn 3 is delivered from a guide 4, a small-diameter part of the stepped top roll 5 and the nipping point of the second top roll. The yarn 1 as a sheath part and the yarn 3 as a core part are directly doubled and twisted to give a composite yarn 8, which is then wound onto a bobbin 11. The circumferential ratio between the large- and samll-diameter parts of the top roll is preferably such that the former is 2-100% larger than the latter. EFFECT:The supply speed ratio of the plural yarns can be easily set only by changing the roll diameter, and stable and uniform composite yarns can be easily obtained due to the same driving system. |
