A magnetic recording-reproducing apparatus is desclosed, in which a recording current equivalent section (28) is inserted in the stage before or after a recording amplifier section (15). The section (28) thereby amplifies high frequencis of the recording current to compensate for the attenuation at reproduction, and thus improves the signal-to-noise-ratio.
