PURPOSE:To reduce the size of contactless movable stable guide in machine tool by balancing the attracting force of magnet and the repellency of static air pressure between the guide face and the bearing face crossing each other. CONSTITUTION:Compressed air is fed through an air hose 38 to the air supply path 37 of movable table 24 then ejected through respective air supply hole 31, 31, ..., 34, 34, ... and orifices 32, 35 toward the guide faces 20a, 20b of a guide member 20 thus to provid a static pressure air bearing at the bearing gaps 33, 36. Attraction force is produced between the magnetic members 22, 23 buried in the guide member 20 and the magnets 29, 30 burried in the movable table 24 to be balanced with the repellency of the static pressure air bearing. Consequently, the movable table 24 is supported in contactless. Compressed air is discharged through the groove 25, 26, 27, 28. With such arrangement, the size is reduced. |
