The esters have the general formula I in which X is a hydrogen atom, a cyano radical or an alkoxy group with 1-4 carbon atoms and Y is a hydrogen atom, an alkoxy or alkoxycarbonyl group with 1-4 carbon atoms or a group with R and R' meaning a hydrogen atom or a lower saturated alkyl radical with 1-4 carbon atoms, where X and Y are not both hydrogen. The compounds have a significantly greater activity than the known aryl guanidinobenzoates both as (human) acrosin inhibitor and as contraceptives in animal experiments.
