An inclinometer comprises a sector weight pivotally supported on a main body which may become inclined, where the weight is relatively rotatable with respect to the main body and constantly hanging vertically due to its gravity regardless of an inclination of the main body, a code part provided on the weight, where the code part corresponding to a plurality of bits based on a predetermined code according to a relative rotary angle of the weight with respect to the main body, and a detecting part which becomes inclined together with the main body and becomes displaced with respect to the weight along each of the bits of the code part, for producing a detection output based on the predetermined code according to the inclination angle of the main body. |
