PURPOSE:To increase the heat resistance of the titled catalyst by depositing specified quantities of the respective components of V, Zr, Ti, Sn, P, Nb, K, Cs, Tl and Sb on an inactivated carrier. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst for manufacturing pyromellitic anhydride is obtained by depositing the catalyst components consisting of 1-20pts.wt. V2O5 plus 99- 80pts.wt. (ZrO2+TiO2+SnO2) and the auxiliary catalyst consisting of 0.02- 10pts.wt. P2O5, 0.01-5pts.wt. Nb2O5, 0-12pts.wt. oxide of at least one kind selected out of the group consisting of K, Cs Rb plus Tl and 0-10pts.wt. Sb2O5 per 100pts.wt. catalytic components on an inactivated carrier. |
