PURPOSE:To enable the expression of medium contrast, by providing a nozzle for emitting colorless transparent ink other than a nozzle for emitting color ink to superpose the color ink and the colorless transparent ink on a material to be recoreded. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle for emitting colorless transparent ink containing no coloring component is further provided other than a nozzle emitting color ink for performing recording. Color ink droplets emitted from the nozzle for emitting the color ink are deposited onto a material to be recorded such as recording paper 5 to form a recording dot 6. When the colorless transparent ink is deposited on this recording dot 6, the recording dot 6 is pushed in the recording paper 5 by the deposition pressure of the colorless transparent ink and takes a shape slightly expanded to the lateral direction. At this time, because the coloring component in the recording dot is mixed with the colorless transparent ink and sunk in the recording paper, apparent reflection intensity is lowered and effect near to that by recording using light colored ink is obtained. |
