PURPOSE:To execute a satisfactory slow reproduction by driving intermittently a tape at a speed one-third a standard reproduction speed for the prescribed field period, while the driving is stopped at other periods and selecting alternately a main head of the 1st azimuth and an auxiliary head of the 2nd azimuth by one field at every N-fields. CONSTITUTION:An inversive brake is applied to a capstan motor activated by a start monostable multivibrator 7 due to outputs of a tracking multivibrator 15 and brake multivibrator 16, and a tape traveling is stopped. Thus the capstan motor rotates at a speed one-third a standard reproduction speed for three-field period, while it stops for N-3 field (N means >=4 integers 4) period, and a tape is intermittently driven. In terms of an RF input pulse, the 1st main head MA and 2nd auxiliary head SA are alternately selected by one field for N field period, and for the next N field period the 2nd main head MB and 1st auxiliary head SB are alternately selected by one field. Thus the fluctuation of horizontal synchronous frequency can be remarkably reduced, and the fluctuation in the horizontal direction of a reproduction screen can be prevented. |
