发明名称 ELECTRODE SUBSTRATE FOR ELECTROOPTICAL USE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance, moisture resistance and orientability and to obtain excellent durability by providing a polyparabanic acid resin film on a substrate surface having a transparent conductive film and subjecting the resin film to an orientation treatment. CONSTITUTION:The polyparabanic resin film is provided to part or the entire part of the substrate surface having the transparent conductive film. The transparent conductive film to be used for said substrate is exemplified by In2O3, SnO2, ITO, etc. Gass, ceramics, plastic film, etc. are used for the substrate. The polyparabanic acid is dissolved in a solvent and the soln. is coated on the conductive film. The surface of the formed film is rubbed in a specified direction by a cloth, etc. and is thus oriented, by which the electrode substrate for electrooptic use is obtd. Such electrode substrate has the good heat resistance, moisture resistance and durability and particularly the excellent uniformity in the initial orientation of the liquid crystal. Since the heating temp. in the stage of forming the electrode substrate is low, the film is formable on not only the glass substrate but the plastic film as well. The liquid crystal molecules are made to exist stably for a long period without influence on the orienting effect of the liquid crystal molecules even if the temp. of the electrode substrate increases.</p>
