PURPOSE:To reduce probability of an ink jet stoppage at the time of printing by stopping an ink jet with a temperature control device in an operating condition when a period of time in which a printer control command is not received exceeds a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:When a printing control device is turned on to indicate its operation, in order that the temperature to be detected with a sensor 79 by a heater control circuit reach a fixed value, the supply of electrically to a heater 78 is controlled. When the periods of time for not receiving a printing command, a line feed command, a page feed command and other printer control commands exceed a fixed value, a printing control device stops a pump 74, and sets a solenoid value device 76 to shut off an ink supply to an ink jet head. The ink jet is stopped under a controllable condition, and if a reset signal is received during the above stoppage, the pump 74 is operated, and the solenoid valve device 76 is set to supply ink to the ink jet head. The above reduces the probability of the ink jet stopage when printing is about to start and a recording delay is eliminated. |
