If a press runs through after a work stroke and the electrical stop arrangement fails, a second work stroke would occur. This can be prevented by means of a mechanical stop (15) mounted e.g. on a gear wheel (14) which is attached to the driving crankshaft. A hydraulic cylinder (5) is mounted on the frame of the press. AT the end of the piston which is mounted in this cylinder, a small hydraulic cylinder (11) is mounted which can push a plunger into the path of the stop pin on the gear wheel. The space in the end of the main cylinder between the end face of the piston and the rear wall of the cylinder is filled with hydraulic fluid and is connected by a number of choke holes (3) to a chamber (E). When the piston is pushed in by the stop, the hydraulic fluid flows out of the choke holes. The choke holes are progressively blocked by the piston.
|
