<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal printer capable of printing clear and legible letters without noise during the printing period by including a mixture of a colorant and a heat-meltable material in a type drum having projected types on its surface. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of a colorant and a heat-meltable material is added to the inside of a porous plastic type drum 1. Projected types 101 are formed on the surface of the drum 1 and always contacted with a printing paper 3. Electric current is then supplied for a given hour period to electric resistors 4 set according to each digit to melt the mixture for printing.</p> |
