摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance accuracy in measuring the electric conductivity of a high- temperature liquid, by suspending electrode supporting rods in a tube dody, providing a holding plate at the lower inside of the tube body so as to hold the lower parts of the supporting rods, and making the thermal expansion coefficients of the tube body and the supporting rods approximately equal. CONSTITUTION:In a cylindrical electric furnace 1, e.g., a tube body 4 having a bottom made of a heat resisting insulating material such as alumina is provided. Electrode supporting rods 16, which are formed by the same alumina and the like, are suspended inthe tube body. The rods 16 are slidably contacted and held by a holding plate 23, which is provided at the lower side surface of the tube body 4. Electrodes 17 are suspended from the insides of the electrode supporting rods 16 into a smaple 26 in a crucible 15 made of e.g., platinum. Therefore, as long as vibration and the like are not applied from the outside, the electrodes 17 are not moved. Since the thermal expansion coefficients of the tube body 4 and the electrode supporting rods 16 are approximately equal, the electrodes 17 are not moved due to temperature change.
